Beginnings

Founded on 12/04/1428 AH, it is a scientific society in the field of optometry and vision sciences. The Saudi Optometric Society is under the umbrella of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (Decision No. 8/A/28). Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, may God preserve them, the Society’s vision is to promote the provision of quality eye and vision care to the community through the practice of optometry and the provision of continuing education and training services for eye care professionals. The vision is to be a leader in the field of health and social work and a distinguished center for education, training, health education, and scientific research in the field of optometry.
